These tips help with getting pregnant by increasing your chances of conceiving a baby. They’re inspired by the Parable of the Two Wolves – which reveals the number one thing that will help you get pregnant.
The Clearblue Fertility Monitor isn’t a tip for getting pregnant from the parable, but it will tell you when your fertility is low, high, or at its peak. The fertility monitor is the most advanced way of tracking your fertility, and is definitely one thing that helps you get pregnant. It detects both LH and estrogen hormones, and gives you comprehensive, personal information about your cycle to help you map out your fertility calendar.
If you’re discouraged because it’s taking longer than you thought to get pregnant, it may help to remember the following Cherokee parable. Why? Because the number one emotional thing you need to get pregnant is hope.
The Parable of the Two Wolves
“A fight is going on inside me,” said an old Cherokee chief to his grandson. “It’s a terrible fight between two wolves. One wolf is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.”
“What about the second wolf?” asked the grandson.
“The other wolf is good,” said the Cherokee grandfather. “That wolf is patience, joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The two wolves are fighting each other constantly. This same fight is going on inside you – and every other person, too.”
The grandson thought for a minute. Then, he asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
“The one you feed,” said the old chief.
10 Things That Help You Get Pregnant
The most important tip for getting pregnant is to stay positive, hopeful, and optimistic! You may feel discouraged because you haven’t conceived a baby yet – and your discouragement is a hungry wolf that will get bigger and stronger if you feed it! Don’t feed it.
Instead, feed the wolf of optimism, hope, joy, and peace. Chances are good that you’ll get pregnant, especially if you read and apply these ten things that help you get pregnant…
Regular periods help with getting pregnant
Another important thing to remember about conceiving a baby is the importance of regular periods. If you don’t menstruate regularly, try to eating foods that make your menstrual cycle regular. Experiment with acupuncture and complementary health treatments such as acupuncture, adhere to a regular sleep schedule, and do exercises that decrease stress. These will help regulate your hormones, which will regulate your menstrual cycle.
Ovulation patterns help you get pregnant
Need help getting pregnant? Track your ovulation patterns. Older birth control methods, such as the rhythm method, assume all women ovulate at the same point in their cycle. However, the length of a woman’s cycle can vary from woman to woman, as can when their ovulation occurs. This is completely normal. Charting can help you determine how long your cycle is and how many days into it you ovulate. It can also help you figure out the months where your cycle is off due to stress or illness.
Tracking your ovulation with an ovulation predictor kit is one of the best things to help you get pregnant. The Wondfo Combo 40 Ovulation and 10 Pregnancy Urine Test Strips is handy, because it gives you both ovulation predictor test sticks and pregnancy tests.
Natural lubricants can help you get pregnant
Pre-Seed Personal Lubricant is better than traditional lubricants that sometimes contain spermicide — the last thing you need if you want to get pregnant! Pre-seed, sometimes known as ProSeed, is a sperm friendly lubricant that makes sex more fun for couples who’ve been trying to conceive for a long long time.. A fertility lubricant is also good if you’re doing infertility treatments such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) and taking Clomid, because lubes help with dryness.
Sexual position does NOT help you get pregnant
It doesn’t matter if you’re on top, if you lie with your legs in the air after having intercourse, or if you spend a long or short time doing it…you will get pregnant or you won’t get pregnant despite all these attempts at manipulating sperm or egg. It’s a myth that the sperm will leak out if you stand up too soon after sex. And, research shows that sperm can be found in your cervical canal a few SECONDS after ejaculation! Sperm doesn’t need more than a minute to race up to meet your egg.
Men need help getting pregnant
Your partner’s fertility is just as important as yours! If it’s taking a long time to conceive a baby, it’s possible that your husband’s sperm is the culprit. Ask him to get his sperm tested with a semen analysis. Most people think that problems getting pregnant are because of the woman’s body, when it’s just as likely that there are sperm health issues.
Female fertility supplements
Before you take any type of natural supplement for fertility, make sure you talk to your doctor first. FertilAid for Women is a doctor-approved and ObGyn-recommended supplement that is designed to increase fertility and improve reproductive health. It contains natural herbal ingredients and essential vitamins, and promotes female hormonal balance and reproductive wellness. It includes chasteberry (vitex), red clover blossom, siberian ginseng, and gingko biloba. It doesn’t have any side effects — but it’s still worth talking to your doctor, first!
Male fertility supplements
One of the most important things that help you get pregnant is healthy male sperm. “Good” sperm isn’t just defined by sperm count, but also by sperm concentration, sperm motility and speed, and healthy morphology (sperm shape and size). Sperm motility is determined by the percentage of sperm that are moving and their capacity to “swim” in a forward direction.
FertilAid for Men combines antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals with the amino acid, L-Carnitine. It’s designed to support the healthy formation of sperm, and increase both sperm motility and sperm count.
Fertility checklists help with getting pregnant
In Fertility Checklist and 4 Reasons You Can’t Get Pregnant, I offer a list of the most common reasons women can’t get pregnant. The list is divided into four types of barriers to getting pregnant: the sperm, the egg, the conception, and general male and female fertility problems. This is the type of help getting pregnant you need if you’ve been trying to conceive for more than a year.
Knowing about unexplained infertility can help you get pregnant
When you can’t get pregnant, there may not be an obvious reason (eg, low or no sperm count, no ovulation or eggs being released, age-related infertility, etc). “Unexplained infertility” is the diagnosis for 20% of couples coping with infertility, which means nobody knows why you aren’t getting pregnant. Also, infertility issues are equally divided up between men and women – so low sperm count and motility are just as prevalent as endometriosis or other female-related infertility problems.
Fun sex helps with getting pregnant
Use this time of trying to conceive to get closer to your partner! Getting pregnant without help from your GP or fertility doctors takes most couples one year, on average. Seek the advice of a fertility specialist if you are under 35 and have been trying to get pregnant for 12 months, or over 35 and have been trying to conceive for six months. Some things that help you get pregnant are being at a healthy weight, not using drugs or alcohol or tobacco, and dealing with health issues that can affect your fertility and ability to conceive.
