Easter and fertility are intertwined: eggs, bunnies, new life. If you’re ready to get pregnant, check out these Easter fertility tips. Maybe you’ll conceive a baby at Easter, and maybe you’ll give birth at Christmas! You can always hope, and try…
Before the tips, a quip:
“The joyful news that He is risen does not change the contemporary world. Still before us lie work, discipline, sacrifice. But the fact of Easter gives us the spiritual power to do the work, accept the discipline, and make the sacrifice.” ~ Henry Knox Sherrill.
What work do you have to do to get pregnant? Maybe it’s quitting smoking, or getting those sperm tested. Maybe it’s talking to a fertility specialist, or convincing your partner you’re really really ready to get pregnant at Easter! Whatever it is, the spiritual power of Easter (and beyond) is more than a fertility tip – it can be a healthy way of life.
Here’s what I mean…
Are You Ready to Get Pregnant at Easter?
Avoid family situations that stress you out
Some research says the stress impairs male and female fertility, while other research says that stress has no impact on getting pregnant. I say it’s better to stay as stress free as possible when you’re trying to get pregnant! Easter family gatherings can be stressful, not to mention hard on your marriage. You don’t need to shun family at Eastertime, but you might want to: 1) figure out what causes you stress; and 2) avoid or reduce the time you spend in that situation. If you have trouble relaxing, try a pregnancy mediation.
Be prepared for the “are you pregnant?’ questions at Easter
If you’ve been ready and trying to get pregnant for awhile now, you know that certain family members and friends will ask questions at Easter (and all the time). Find ways to field awkward questions and people who bring you down. Instead of getting angry that Auntie Bertie asks for the millionth time why you’re not pregnant, head her off by telling her right off the bat that you’re pregnant yet. Ask your partner to help field people and situations, and remember the most important Easter fertility tip of all…
Resurrect your spirituality
Even if you’re not into the traditional Easter beliefs, this could be the perfect time to tap into your spiritual side. After all, getting pregnant isn’t just a physical endeavor — it’s emotional, spiritual, and relational. Get in touch with God or Jesus or Buddha or the Universe – whoever or whatever grounds you. Take time to breathe deeply and say a prayer (maybe even a fertility prayer!), or just sit in silence and reflect on this season of your life. This Easter fertility tip is about connecting with your soul and Spirit.
Learn new fertility tips at Easter
If you have time off over the holidays, use it to explore different types of fertility tips. For instance, acupuncture for fertility has shown positive results. Genetically modified foods may reduce fertility and reduce your chances of getting pregnant. This Easter, perhaps you and your partner could make time to dig deeper into how to get pregnant, pregnancy tips, and so on. Who knows, it could be the turning point for you!
Do lots of what you love at Easter
One of the most important Easter fertility tips is to remember what you love to do — and do it! What makes you happy, healthy, and peaceful? What makes time fly by? Sing, dance, read, write, walk, paint – do whatever makes you feel emotionally healthy, calm, and ready to accept anything that comes your way. Include your partner — because as a couple ready to get pregnant, you need all the laughter and joy you can get!
Easter can be a holiday that involves eating lots of sugar (chocolate bunnies), rich foods (Easter dinner), and refined carbs (chocolate Easter eggs!). One of the best pregnancy tips is to stay as healthy as possible when you’re trying to get pregnant — especially if you’re diabetic or diabetes runs in your family.
