When Am I Ovulating? Fertility Signs in Ovulation Symptoms

“When am I ovulating?” is the question to ask if you want to get pregnant! There are fertility signs in your ovulation symptoms – they help you identify the best time of month to get pregnant. These ovulation symptoms can be an alternative to ovulation predictor kits (which can get expensive).

“Your menstrual cycle can basically be divided into three phases: the pre-ovulatory infertile phase, the fertile phase, and the post-ovulatory infertile phase,” write the doctors in Our Bodies, Ourselves: A New Edition for a New Era. “You can determine which of the phases you are in by observing the three primary fertility signs: waking temperature, cervical fluid, and cervical position.”

Watching for your natural symptoms of ovulation can help you get pregnant because they reveal the most fertile time of the month. Yes, you can get pregnant at other times during your cycle (we all know women who have!), but your chances of pregnancy are increased if you focus on certain times of the month.

Thank you for this help to know when I am ovulating. Sometimes I get confused about ovulation, but I will print this out and refer to it every month. Or more!

Hi, my husband and i have been trying to get pregnant since june, ever since i removed my birth control mirena. i heard alot of worrying things but i also know its to early to tell. i dont know what to think. the nurse practionioner said it could take 2-6mos as well as anytime. others have said that it could take up to a year. its nothing urgent but it is worrying. why would i not be able to get pregnant if we’ve tried and still nothing. i have two wonderful loving boys and it would be a blessing if we could have a little princess to complete our family.

Kerry, I feel your pain. When I was 21 I had my son by an old boyfriend (I did keep him). I vowed to never have another baby unless I was married, I refused to be a single mother w/multiple baby daddy. I thought I was being careful being on birth control & using condoms but I (surprisingly) became pregnant 2 other times after having my son. I chose abortion both times. Now I am almost 30 & happliy married for almost 2 yrs now, my husband is 27. We have been trying for over a year to get pregnant with no luck. We did (surprisingly, again!)get pregnant early in our relationship but I miscarried. I dont think he is the one with fertility problems. I cant help but feel like god is now punishing me for not excepting the multiple gifts of life he tired to give me years ago. I’m now older & more mature, ready to have more children (my son is dying to be a brother!)with a wonderful man who has excepted my son as his own & he deserves to experience all the joys of fatherhood but i dont know if i can give that to him? We have not exceeded all of the fertility options out there but (we also cant afford them…) as we reached the 1 yr mark of trying with no results i cant help but feel a little hopeless & defeated. I do believe in karma, maybe its getting the best of me?
I just wanted to let you know that your feelings of guilt are normal & you’re not alone. I know my story will not help everything your feeling inside, but when i read your post as soon as i got to “punishment” i was a little relieved to hear my feelings were normal. I do wish you lots of luck in this journey.

We haven’t tried nothing just the old fashion way. Now we are trying everything not being able to have a baby by the one u love makes me fill like I am less then a women. We need help very bad. I blame my husband saying it’s him but I really don’t now my husband don’t have any children we don’t have a lot of money to pay for a fertility doctor.
